MOLALLA MIDDLE SCHOOL CAREER NAVIGATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

PAY RATE:                                    Salaried at $40,000.00 annually/32 hours weekly

EMPLOYMENT LENGTH:          June 30th 2023 TBD on Contract Renewal

 


As the Youth Career Navigator working in the Molalla Middle School, you have the unique opportunity to help students explore possible career options, discover their own talents, and build goals for future success. This is a salaried 32 hour a week position as the Todos Juntos Youth Career Navigator and will be housed at the Molalla Middle School as a partner with the school, to identify students for participation in school based and after school programming introducing Career Learning Opportunities.

 

 

Program Components that make up the Career Navigator position include:

 

  • Experience working with youth in group settings

  • Identify and work with identified students in school-based activities and Career Exploration group activities

  • Participate in OregonAsk Futures Training

  • Participate with the Clackamas County Workforce CWP to identify Career partners

  • Plan and facilitate scheduled CWP professional speakers/activities for youth

  • Participate with local businesses and resources to identify Career partners.

  • Work with school counselors to identify students in need of Careers mentorships

  • Provide best practice workshops such as Creative Hearts and Possible Futures (career development) to be student led in classroom or after school settings.

  • Work with schools to support all related Careers initiatives (Co-Coordinate Job Fairs with schools)

  • Provide Quarterly Calendar of events and work schedule identifying 25-3 hours weekly of planned activities and oversight.

  • Hands on facilitation of programs

    • Facilitation of in-school and/or after-school programs

    • Planning and development of after-school programming 

    • Work as a team to identify youth to be involved in programming

  • Attend all required County and Todos Juntos meetings and assigned committees.

    • OregonAsk and Clackamas Workforce Partnership

  • Maintain client records of contacts, enter data and program evaluation and submit required reports in required time frame

  • Timely completion of all required quarterly reports and report narratives. To include County and State and other contractual funding agreements.

CANBY BAKER PRAIRIE MIDDLE SCHOOL SITE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

 

REPORTS TO:                                     Program Supervisor/Director

PAY RATE:                                           $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 annually

EMPLOYMENT LENGTH:                 40 hours weekly

If you are the kind of person who wants to make our community stronger and help youth discover their strengths. You are the perfect person to be the Site Manager at Baker Prairie Middle School (BPMS) in Canby.

 

At BPMS your focus will be on helping youth build on the skills they already have so they can discover their own ways to be vibrant and positive community members who can problem solve, communicate, and explore with confidence.

 

Program Components that make up the Canby Baker Prairie Site include, Case Coordination of AT-RISK youth, Academic Enrichment, Arts Alliance, Gender Specific Boys Council/Girls Circle, Diversity Club, Structured Sport/Recreation and Youth Career Development programming such as,  Engineering and Math (STEM) programming/Robotics, Creative Hearts, Future Business Leaders of America and Possible Futures.

 

NOTE THAT EXISTING TODOS JUNTOS SUPPORT STAFF ARE IN PLACE/OR NEED TO BE HIRED FOR MANY OF THE IDENTIFIED PROGRAMS.  NOT ALL PROGRAMS NEED TO BE IN PLACE AT ANY GIVEN TIME.

 

Job duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Work with Steering Committee ie; School Administration and Todos Juntos Administration staff to plan, develop and implement programs that make up ‘Program Components’ listed above.

  • Participate in local prevention teams

  • Work with School Counselors and other staff to identify 15 + At-Risk CORE youth that meet identified risk factors.

  • Identified CORE youth will receive services that address basic needs and academic issues. 

  • Core Participants progress monitored by grades, attendance and behavior as reported in school tracking database and school personnel consultation.

  • Hands on facilitation and/or delegation of Support Staff to facilitate programs identified by local steering to identified youth

    • Facilitation of in-school and/or after-school programs

    • Planning and development of after-school programming

    • Identifying, hiring, and firing of local support staff

  • Partner with OregonAsk and Clackamas Workforce Partnership

    • Participate in OregonAsk Futures Training Participate with the Clackamas County Workforce CWP to identify Career partners

    • Participate with local businesses and resources to identify Career partners.
